Darkthrone F.O.A.D. 2007 album review by Lordslady

These Shores Are Damned
Canadian Metal
The Church Of Real Metal
The Banners Of Old
Fuck Off And Die
Splitkein Fever
Raised On Rock
Pervertor Of The 7 Gates
Wisdom Of The Dead

F.O.A.D. The thirteenth album from the Norwegian Black Metal band Darkthrone. Released October 1st 2007 on Peaceville Records. This album offers a taste of Black Metal to Punk Rock and everything in between. Different from past albums, but is one of the best works from Darkthrone in my opinion. Worth listening to. Nocturno Culto and Fenriz have shown what it means to be true to what you belive in, With song The Church Of Real Metal and Raised On Rock. Raised On Rock shows hatered for that cookie cutter fake metal that we all hate. Makes me remember when and the bands that got me into metal. The Church Of Real Metal... enough said!
To remember the bands that influenced them and repect to them, they have included songs such as Canadian Metal. But if you read the liner notes, all the songs are dedicated to differnt bands in one way or the other. From Classic Rock to Old School Metal to Black Metal.
I could go on, but if you have not heard this album, I highly recommend that you do. Once you have heard it you will see what I mean. My opion, the best album of 2007. Respect and Hails to Darkthrone for the great job they did on F.O.A.D. Hope by reading my review you will give this album a listen that it is worthy of.
on a scale of 1 to 10. 10 being the best. I give it a 10!!!
